a winter manifesto

Inspired by Amanda Blake Soule, this is my own winter manifesto:
-
on dark and snowy evenings,
find yourself a comfortable armchair next to a window,
drink hot apple cider and stir it with a cinnamon stick,
pick up a book and read and read and read,
and eat some chocolate too.
smell the roast in the oven,
and listen to the voluptuous voice of the wind
battering against the doors and walls.
ignore him. light a candle,
watch the slowly faltering light outside
and the flakes drifting from the clouds;
dream of summer skies and green grass,
but find the treasures hidden in a snowy night.
-
any other winter manifestos?
